Personal Data Processing
Personal data provided in the abstract submission form – including first and last name, contact details (including e-mail address and affiliation), biographical information, and any other information included in the submission – will be processed for the purposes of accepting the submission, evaluating the abstract, and organizing and facilitating participation in the Congress. The data controller is Bachleda Kongresy Eventy Sp. z o.o., located in Zakopane, 34-500, Poland. For any inquiries regarding the processing of personal data, please contact the data controller at biuro@grupabachleda.pl. The data will be processed by the Congress Organizers and – to the extent necessary to achieve the above purposes – by members of the Scientific and Organizing Committees. Personal data may also be shared with entities cooperating in the organization of the Congress, exclusively to the extent necessary for its execution and in accordance with applicable laws. Data will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA). The legal basis for processing personal data is the consent of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), as well as the necessity of processing for the purposes of submission and participation in the Congress (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Personal data will be used solely for purposes related to managing submissions, communicating with authors, preparing the Congress program, and – where applicable – publishing abstracts and Congress materials. Providing personal data is voluntary; however, it is necessary for submitting and evaluating abstracts. Failure to provide personal data will prevent participation in the submission and evaluation process as well as in the Congress. Data subjects have the right to access their data, request rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing, object to processing, exercise the right to data portability, and withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal), as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority. Personal data will be retained for the period necessary to achieve the purposes stated above and, thereafter, for the duration required by law or until any potential claims expire.
